Unfortunately due to the issue with webcam no longer working with macOS I can't continue testing this script

Very sad news

as soon as it's resolved I'll get back to it but it looks like an issue with the mew macOS only allowing access to applications that request access to the webcam (and get the ok from the user) but as these are scripts launched by java no request seems to be made.

Unfortunately my main source of income is from iOS apps and I need the latest OS to ensure my apps continue to run.

I guess you'd have to wait until that issue gets resolved.

But maybe you could work around the issue by using https://www.virtualbox.org/ with a Linux guest.

My integrated webcam does show up as a USB device in virtualbox (2013 MBP) so that sounds like it could work!

Since this script seems to be EoL, would anyone mind if I were to start my own fork of it? I'm not making any guarantees on how far it will get, but I could really use a project to focus on during the lockdown here.

I get error code M9 when I try to start a new session

Since it is a quite old program and hasn't been upgraded since 2017, I don't think you should stick to it. Maybe look for something more up to date.
