Hello... and... help!
I am trying to write a script for RPS (Rock-Paper-Scissors).
In an attempt to greet the user, by time of day (morning, afternoon, evening), I copied blocks from the unofficial "How to write scripts for SexScripts", section 7.5. Every time I "checked" the script, different error messages were generated, depending on which block was active. I even got errors after I had REM'd (
//) both blocks.

I also tried to set a different background color. It worked until the second
show command had finished, then reverted to the pink background. The first
show command, my "greeting", never displayed.
I did not set any image for this script, but the "White Queen" image remains, even after closing then restarting SS.
On another, somewhat relevant note: I tried the "ssScriptMaker" program. I could not make heads or tails out of it, so I tried my hand at "direct" programming. So far, the results have been... (shall we say?)... less than impressive.
If someone would be so kind, any help (and ongoing consultations) would be greatly appreciated.
I do have a bit of an idea as to what I want to include in this script, but that may take a while. Basically, I am trying to convert an old... I mean
very old... BASIC program.
Many thanks, in advance,
Bruce
