Here are the main milestones that will show the failure or success of SexScripts. Let's say before the end of 2011 :
  • 1000 visits - 07/28/2011
  • 50 validated scripts - 06/22/2013
  • 1000 downloads - 12/23/2011
  • scripts in 5 different languages - 07/23/2016
  • 1000 forum posts - 06/18/2013
  • 5000 visits - 10/22/2011

Forgive me posting in this topic (do move it, if need be!), but I think a big part of making SexScripts a success, maybe the biggest, is letting people know it exists! CyberMistress took a long time, and got most of its original 'following' groups Yahoo Groups when it started up there amongst the other PC Mistress style programs. Later, when it became a full website, the creator was a part of Milovana, the online 'tease' site, and gained a lot more users from there by introducing them to it.

I'm happy to do my part, and I'd hope others here (lurking or active) are too... which means spreading the word about SexScripts to various fantasy/spanking/bdsm/tease/porn/teledildonics forums and sites you frequent! :)

I have few sites I can think of that would be good sources of folks interested in SS, but I'm willing to bet others out there know better than me! Ideas?

I made a page on http://opendildonics.org (technical vs porn centered wiki). I'm not associated to a lot of communities online, so I hope for at least the word of mouth.

Good idea! They're one of the first people I thought might be 'interested' too! I tried to post on the wiki, but couldn't even find where to make an account (how did you do it?), much less edit a page.

Hey, maybe one day SexScripts will be able to control USB 'vibrators' like the Rez Trance or 'real' USB sex toys! :P

For old users, what's up till 6 monthes in the software : release number is now 1.2, API number is 3
Here are the main evolutions
- API 3 : added getSelectedValue(), useUrl(), useEmailAddress(), useFile(), openCdTrays(), playSound() use now also .mp3 files...
- Some user controls where moved, changed (bigger buttons...)
- CyberMistress files can be imported
- Editor helps (colors, code snippets...)
- And a lot of updates and bug correction behind the curtains

Goals of the roadmap are late, but visits, downloads, posts are increasing regulary !

I'm delivering the 1.12 release today (API 4), last release of 2012. Here is a changes summary for this year :
  • Better look (details)
  • Correction of some issues with Cybermistress imports
  • Remedies to win7/winXP/x32/x64... bugs
  • API 4 (details)
  • Improving editor (closer to Visual Studio and Eclipse usability level)

Stats are improving quite each month (downloads/day, visits/day...), for example most scripts are downloaded 100 first times in less than 48h.

I have no idea how to do that. I once beat that google chat bot once. I convince him that I was the robot and convinced him to be friends.

I used to play the tuba? Bots can't play tubas?

I am really hoping if I ramble on endlessly in semi-coherent sentances that I prove myself.

I am interested in stuff like this: http://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=22&cad=rja&ved=0CDgQFjABOBQ&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.cs.toronto.edu%2F~ilya%2Fpubs%2F2011%2FLANG-RNN.pdf&ei=jKXkUJ24KcSLiAKd04GgCg&usg=AFQjCNF8ag3cgv7C_df4AILkfz-tSheKjg&bvm=bv.1355534169,d.cGE but am not this.

I used the term "street cred" last week?

-------------------------------------
If no github, bitbucket maybe? I could be just missing a link here.

There's no Git project related to SS ; I'm not sure I answer correctly to your question. Do you want the source code ? Some scripts ?
(NB : I may move those last messages in their own topic to keep this one clean and striclty related to SS evolution)

Hi all, Banjo in particular (we have spoken before on CM forum). This program can already control any sex toy, electrical device, electro punishment, e.g TENS or PES or anything else for that matter. !!! It can even control remote devices on the other side of the world without using the internet or a modem !!!

Cool isn't, sounds like Sci-Fi but its a fact.

As a matter of interest I wrote the user manuals for Sven's program VrMst, and I joined CM hoping there would be some interest in "a Real World Interface" like cyberdildonicks (but SO MUCH MORE IS POSSIBLE). At that time Kenneth blew my ideas out of the water, (and from memory I'm sure Banjo agreed, but I may be wrong, was quite a while ago). I'm glad to see there has been some movement on this subject. I was specially interested is this program when I discovered this was open source, as I was going to have a play with the coding myself. I have no idea about coding software, but I'm a VERY quick learner.

After playing with this program for an hour I already know how to make it turn on any electronic or electrical device - literally anywhere in the world, without even using the internet, or even a modem (assuming a willing remote user with the right USB interface and gadgets).

If anyone was interested, with some coding the program could also accept "real life inputs" from "ANY" sensor. For example a sub wearing a bracelet containing a proximity fob, could be told to go to a certain place, and the fob reader can inform the computer via the same USB interface that the task has been performed (but any sensor could be used such as a passive infra red for a security system). With some coding this program could also receive that input, then via the scripts could send an output through the USB to "pleasure or pain" as a very simple example.

THINK OF THE POTENTIAL. This topic has not been taken seriously when I have raised the matter in other forums (other programs). So I have been working away learning about electronics and have pretty much sorted out the hardware issues at least in principle, and have some working hardware, and some apps on my PC that will operate it.

Let me know if anyone else is interested in developing this area.

BTW A Pay as you go mobile phone can be called from anywhere in the world, it doesn't have to answer, a simple electronic circuit will know it rang, that circuit can trigger an input on a USB interface card, which in turn car trigger "ANY" program on the PC, which can output to the USB card then via a relay board can turn "ANYTHING" on. Threw that in in case you didn't take my claims seriously.

OH as this program can obviously launch another program it can already launch any one of the many control programs I already have for my USB interface, and so in turn can control anything (if indirectly at the moment).

Keith

I stand corrected, having had longer to play with this program, I have realised that it does not actually appear to have a "Launch" command that will launch (run) any other program (yet). When I played Banjo's tutorial I saw the program launch my media player, and so assumed the program could launch any program specified in the script (In the same way the old VirMst program can).

Having now worked through the tutorial, and read more, it looks like that was wishful thinking and does not appear that the program can actually launch another program. The tutorial appears to contain a work-around that allows you to to play a video, as opposed to run other applications. So I will find the appropriate place on the forum and suggest that that launching (and closing) other programs specified in be added as a feature.

Keith
