Not too much new in the update, still seems to work, at least the parts so far included. Agree still the newspaper is a little janky as not everyone will have one, and buying one every single day for a check in isn't too appealing. How about having to write a note with a randomly generated number which can then be verified (if verification happens at all of course...).

Instead of using a newspaper try using a "word of the day" such as https://www.merriam-webster.com/word-of-the-day for photo verification

Holding a hand written sign containing for example: "May 23, 2022 mercurial" would replace the need for a newspaper.
