Would it be possible to activate pasting the shortcut using the mouse in the import script dialog box. Yes I know that Ctrl-v pastes the url.

I don't see any way to do that without avoiding really higher level complexity in this feature (overriding the default behavious of input dialogs), sorry.

How about button on the import popup for "paste link from clipboard" for mouse users (that pastes the text in clipboard into the URL text box)? Would avoid needing any right-click menus, yet let mouse users avoid the keyboard for pasting links.

Not something I personally need, but would solve the OP's request in an easier way, I think.
