The last release of Groovy is numbered 2.0.6, and the next one, 2.1 will be considered stable soon. Later, Groovy 3 will be available also. See
groovy download page.
I think SexScripts will include, in its next release Groovy 2.0.6 or 2.0.7. as I could test (with a dozen of existing scripts) :
- it works well
- it changes nothing in the scripts, everything still works
- it'll be more lightlty delivered (no more "groovy-all"), so SexScripts itself will be smaller
A technical question that remains (for the specialist among you) : groovy-2.0.6.jar, antlr-2.7.7.jar and asm-4.0.jar will be included, in the full release of groovy, do you see some other library that should be included ? (bsf.jar ? jline.jar ? xstream.jar ?) I know there are a very few people on earth that can answer, if any, but who knows.
