Since I wasn't sure where to post this, I thought maybe we need a topic (stickied?) for everyone to post their suggestions for additions to the default 'toys' master list.

My first "please add these!" ones are:

• 9v battery
• condom
• electric flyswatter
• lipstick
• marker pen
• towel
• webcam

As much as I'd love a separate "implements" list along with "toys" (toys for "sex toys" like vibrators, bondage gear, etc. "implements" for canes, paddles, crops, whips, etc.) I'm happy for it all to be one (long) list, so long as it encompasses everything needed for scripts to use.

The big problem is that because the "toys.groovy" is one of the core files, it's not practical for users customize it themselves, as each update will overwrite the custom script/list. Thus, the best course of action IMO is to post here on the forums and request new toys/clothes be added to the core lists.

As well as the ones in my previous post, my major "my scripts need these!" requests for new Toys are:

• Hairbrush (and/or bathbrush)
• Strap or leather belt (happy for this to be one single or two separate list items)
• Ruler (wooden, for spanking and measuring)
• Wooden spoon
• Spatula (rubber/silicon)
• Paddle with holes (as distinct from the existing "paddle" toy)
• Soap (for mouthsoaping!)
• Toothpaste

Others I'd like to see added sometime, if others agree:

• Fleshlight (or equivalent; I don't own one but know they're quite popular)
• Punishment Mat (bristly doormat to sit or kneel on)
• Lotion (soothing, for post-spanking relief, etc.)
• Spray bottle (for spraying water)
• Leather paddle/slapper
• Penis whip
• Baby oil
• Tawse
• Flogger
• Bat (ping pong/table tennis)
• Microphone (for recording audio to your computer)

I'd also personally rather "cane" and "crop" be separate Toys, but understand if others would rather keep these the single item for convenience (despite their difference).

I do agree with the princple of this list, and was waiting for more replies, anyway :

• some items are, I mean, universal, no ? toothpaste, soap, condom, marker pen, towel
• Isn't webcam included in camera, and lipstick in makeup (or should they appear separately) ?
• electric flyswatter : can you tell us more about this ? insteresting thing ?
• 9v battery : I've seen it in a Milovana tease, but I failed to feel it, does someone confirm it does something (appart on the tip of the tongue ?)
• mike : for now, Sex Scripts does nothing with it ; some ideas ?

I can say from personal experience that 9v battery can be used a toy... I was doubtful myself, until I did the CyberMistress 'Pokemon' routine (which I've started adapting for SS, incidentally)... quite a shock, and one of the few times a script made me feel very nervous!

I do like the idea that toothpaste, soap, etc. are still on the lost, despite most folks having them already. Some are a case of that you'd want "play" versions of these items anyway (do you want to be using your daily toothpaste for anal play?! The soap you use in the shower may not be the kind best to wash your mouth out with! etc.). It also helps you have everything "on hand" (in a toy box or laid out) before starting a script, IMO. Clothespins are a good comparison I think: most will have them already, but maybe not on hand (halfway through a script and have to go outside to get them? ) or not the type that would be good for play!

I've seen them at a local camping store and was soooo tempted, but my 9v battery experience has made me scared so far! Definitely wouldn't want one with a too-high jolt!!!

I considered lipstick and makeup separate as to me, a lot of folks could go and buy a lipstick to write on themselves, etc. where as makeup implied a full setup for forced feminization 'makeovers', etc.

As for the webcam and microphone... not that essential, just "how about?" ideas, really.

I do considered webcam different from camera (digital camera) in that webcam can be used to upload video or stream directly to the net... a digicam just means "you can take a photo of yourself". It's not an essential item, since no scripts I know use it so far, but still might be worth defining.

Microphone was just so that you can be told to record an audio of your spanking, etc. Again, not a "must have" addition to the toy list, just an old memory of something an online domme used to have me do (and good for those with no webcams?).

Eventually, SS may even make use of a webcam or mike for recording, though, so maybe these could wait until then?

Thanks for looking at my wishlist, though... some of these are things I'd love to see added, particularly the implements I noted in my other posts.

Bumping this after a year away, and a couple of years of no replies here...

Is there no longer any plan to add to the core toys/clothes lists? I downloaded the update today and didn't see any of the things discussed here included, though it's been a year and several versions later, hence why I'm asking.

I just wanted to be sure before I work on updating and making available my "replace the core toys/clothing" patches I did ages ago to get around this issue.
